At Community Family Day Care we are working towards Reconciliation by embracing and embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in out everyday practices. We are doing this by creating a RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan) to identify areas of our service that we can build on our knowledge and understanding so that our service is culturally safe for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Investing in professional development opportunities for staff and educators supports us to be capable to share with children the history of our first people and relationships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Community helps us to stay on track and do this in a sensitive and authentic manner.
